TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 7. Uzbekistan imported a total of 885,800 cell phones worth about $89.6 million in the first quarter of 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's National Statistical Committee shows that China remained the largest supplier, accounting for 679.200 units, followed by Vietnam with 175.800 0 units. Other significant suppliers included the United Arab Emirates (15,500 units) and India (14,500 units), while phones from other countries amounted to just 800 units.
These figures underscore the strong consumer demand for mobile devices in Uzbekistan and emphasize China’s dominant position in the country’s electronics import market.
Meanwhile, in 2024, Uzbekistan imported around 4.2 million mobile phones worth $374.5 million, reflecting a 0.76 percent increase compared to the $38.6 billion worth of phones imported in 2023.
