Development of Black Sea region to be discussed in Greece

On June 14, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) is organizing a regional economic forum at a high level on the current economic situation and the medium-term prospects of the Black Sea region in Thessaloniki (Greece), a message placed on bank's official website said.

The Forum will be held in honor of the 10th anniversary of the bank in the Black Sea region.

Economy and Finance Ministers and mangers of Central Banks from BSTDB 11 countries, as well as senior officials of major international financial institutions, representatives of international banks and business leaders interested in the Black Sea region were invited to the forum as reporters.

The Forum will be held in the Greek hotel Macedonia Palace.

Greece, Russia and Turkey remain the largest shareholders of the bank with 16.5 percent respectively, Romania -14 percent, Bulgaria and Ukraine - 13.5 percent respectively, Azerbaijan - 5 percent, Albania - 2 percent, Armenia and Moldova - 1 percent respectively and Georgia - 0.5 percent.

Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Shakhin Mustafayev and Deputy Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov are managers in the Black Sea Bank from Azerbaijan.

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank is functioning since June 1, 1999.
