The transit of goods through Bazargan border terminal bordering Turkey experienced a 19 percent increase in the first five months of the Iranian calendar year (ending August 21).
Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported that the director of Bazargan terminal stated that 434,684 tons of goods were transported through Iran to Central Asian countries.
Rahim Gholamian stated that the transit trucks were mostly carrying industrial material, construction material and foodstuff.
He noted that our country earned over 7 million euros by transiting merchandise which shows a 30 percent increase compared to the previous calendar year.
