The prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services in the first quarter of 2010 increased by 3.8 percent, and in March - at 1.3 percent, the State Statistics Committee said.
Food prices rose in March at 2.4 per cent, while non-food products - 0.1 per cent, while tariffs for services - 0.3 percent.
As compared to the first quarter of 2009, the prices for food products reduced by 2.5 percent, while non-food prices rose by 1.6 percent, prices of services - 8.5 percent.
In March, prices for dairy products, cheese and egg increased by 0.2 per cent, while prices for butter and fat increased by 1.5 per cent, cereal products - 0.1 percent , coffee, tea, cocoa - 0.2 per cent, vegetables- 5.4 per cent, fruit - 16.6 percent, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets -one per cent, alcoholic beverages - 0,1 per cent, fish -1.2 per cent.
In March, the base consumer price index, calculated net of goods and services subject to seasonal changes (fruits and vegetables) and the prices that are regulated by the state was 100.3 percent compared with the previous month and 101.6 percent in January-March.
