Baku will host an international technical workshop on "Accident Insurance: history of development, reforms, the existing problems", Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund Public Relations sector Elman Babayev said today.
The workshop, scheduled for April 28-29, is an initiative of the International Social Security Association (ISSA). The workshop, to be held with the support of the ISSA, State Social Protection Fund, the Organization for Social Accident Insurance of Germany, will be attended by representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO), International Association of Pension and Social Funds, the World Bank and others.
The workshop will be attended by representatives of Germany, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan and many European countries.
According to Babayev, discussions will be held on the topics "International experience in the sphere of accidents insurance", "Impact of demography on accident insurance, "Insurance in energy, textiles and copper" during the workshop.
Currently, Azerbaijani Parliament considers a bill "On mandatory insurance of loss of ability to work of physical entities, occupational diseases and industrial accidents", and therefore the study of international experience in this sphere can put its contribution to this direction," Babayev said.
