An opening ceremony of the International Social Security Association's (ISSA) regional coordination center for Eurasia will be held in Baku in June, the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) said on Friday.
According to the released information, a relevant agreement was reached at the last meeting of the Steering Committee of the ISSA European Network, which was attended by a delegation headed by the State Social Protection Fund Chairman Salim Muslimov.
It was also decided that the activity of regional insurance pension organizations and social protection organizations will be regulated by the coordinating center in Baku.
The International Social Security Association was established in 1927. Its members include nearly 340 organizations from more than 150 countries. Over 1,600 delegates from 143 countries around the world attended the organization's last forum in Cape Town.
