The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia held a meeting in the framework of the EU budget support on Tuesday. Representatives of other ministries, as well as members of the EU delegation will participate in the meeting along with the representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development.
The meeting summed up the EU commitments made in the framework of allocations. The activities planned for the future were also discussed.
It was promised to allocate 17 million euros to Georgia as budget support in order to support regional development projects and infrastructure. Part of this sum - five million euros, will be allocated as the first tranche after the adoption of the Strategic Plan for Regional Development of Georgia.
This amount will be allocated for the regional development, construction of hospitals and training officials. A request is sent on the second tranche.
