Kazakh export prices drop, import prices rise

While goods imported by Kazakhstan increased in price, goods exported by Kazakhstan decreased in price in February compared to January, the Kazakh Statistics Agency reported on April 14.

Among exported goods, coal decreased in price by 16.7 percent, gas condensate - by 14.4 percent, lead - by 12.7 percent, ferrous metals - by 3.6 percent, iron ore - 2.4 percent , petroleum products - by 0.5 percent, cotton - by 4 percent, wheat - by 0.2 percent. Meanwhile exporting natural gas increased in price by 15.2 percent, zinc - by 3.6 percent, ferroalloys - by 2.1 percent, oil - by 0.3 percent, tobacco - by 9.7 percent.

An increase in price on importing of goods is as follows: medicines -27.7 percent, footwear - 14.7 percent, vegetables - 7.1 percent, coffee - 5.7 percent, confectionery products - 3.3 percent. Imported vegetable oil decreased in prices by 12 percent, margarine - by 10.8 percent, tea - by 7.8 percent, sugar - by 7.7 percent, pasta - by 4.8 percent, poultry - by 4.3 percent.
