Polish companies are interested in investing in Azerbaijan, Adam Krajewski, a representative of the Polish Consulting Engineers and Experts Association, told Trend Oct. 23 on the sidelines of the 24th Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition - BakuBuild 2018.

“My Association represents over 200 companies,” he said. “At this point we are ready to invest in this region, in all the other regions and we have companies that try not to only find a business partner, but also to start a business here.”

He said that the purpose of the association is to assist in finding the right company in the Polish market, because trying to find it by internet or even press is very difficult.

“These institions, like my Association or like Polish Investment and Trade Agency can direct you exactly to the company that you actually are interested in,” he noted. “As it is financed from Polish goverment funds, it’s free for both sides. Because it is always benefitial for us to find a new contact, for example to have a new trade contract, as well as for you, because of course the deal has to be agreed on by the both sides. So this is much quicker way.”

Speaking about the advantages of cooperation between Azerbaijani and Polish companies, Krajewski noted that Poland can offer goods to consumers at more competitive prices.

“We are less costly than if you were to buy the same product from Germany, France and all the, we might say, Western European countries,” he noted.
