From January through October 2019, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $15.9 billion, Trend reports, referring to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
Some 29.4 percent of export account for Italy, 13.8 percent for Turkey, 6.9 percent for Israel, 5.7 percent for India, 4.9 percent for Germany, 4.2 percent for China and for Spain, 3.4 percent for Russia, 3.2 percent for France, 2.9 percent for Georgia, 2.8 percent for Czech Republic, 2.3 percent for UK, 2.1 percent for Portugal, 1.9 percent for Ukraine, and 12.3 percent for other countries.
Over one third of non-commodity sector's export accounts for Russia (33.9 percent). Some 20.6 percent were exported to Turkey, 9.4 percent to Switzerland, 8.4 percent to Georgia, 2.5 percent to Ukraine, 2.3 percent to Italy, 2.2 percent to China and to Greece, 1.4 percent to Iran and the Netherlands.
Export of fresh vegetables increased by 20.1 percent compared to the same period of last year, sugar by 45.6 percent, tobacco by 1.8 times, fruit and vegetable juices by 30.6 percent, tea by 7.1 percent, margarine and other nutritious mixtures by 42.2 percent, cotton fiber by 52.4 percent, cotton yarn by 34.9 percent, untreated aluminum by 29.1 percent, polyethylene by 10.1 percent, bentonite clay by 12.1 percent.
Export of fresh vegetables decreased by 7.3 percent, of potatoes by 7.2 percent, of vegetable oils by 18.1 percent, of canned fruits and vegetables by 0.4 percent, of wine and grape must by 22.5 percent, of prepackaged goods from ferrous metals by 17.5 percent, of ferrous metal pipes by 82.7 percent.
