BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 11. Iran exported 1.12 million tons of non-oil products worth $368 million to Turkmenistan in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Trend reports.
This is an increase of 3.7 percent in volume, while a decrease of 0.27 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year, as stated in the data from Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
In the corresponding period of as the previous year, Iran’s non-oil exports to Turkmenistan stood at around 1.08 million tons, valued at approximately $369 million.
The main export items were agricultural and food products, industrial products, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemical products, etc.
Over the 10th month (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Iran's non-oil export to Turkmenistan was around 100,000 tons worth about $32 million.
Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.
IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran exported a total of 113 million tons of non-oil products valued at $40.5 billion in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024). This represents an 11 percent drop in value but a 9.4 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
