BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. The export of non-oil products through border terminals (Milek and Mirjave) of Sistan and Baluchestan Province in South-East Iran abroad increased by 20 percent during four months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through July 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through July 22, 2023), Director General of the province's Roads and Transport Department Eyyub Kord told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, over 481,000 tons of non-oil products were exported on 20,339 trucks through the above terminals in the reporting period.
Kord pointed out that 421,000 tons of non-oil products were exported through the Mirjave border terminal and 60,200 tons of non-oil products through the Milek border terminal.
As the official explained, cement, milk, milk products, and other products were exported through the border terminals.
On average, more than 560 trucks pass through these border terminals every day, he added.
To note, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration show that the country exported non-oil products worth $17.5 billion abroad in the first four months of the current Iranian year, marking growth by eight percent compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through July 22, 2023).
