Ukraine, Kiev, 22 May / corr. Trend Z. Novosvitski/ The International Energy Forum is underway Kiev within the framework of the Summit on Energy Issues.
Victor Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine said in the opening of the forum that three issues regarding energy resources supply will be discussed in the course of two days.
According to President, the feasibility study of the proposal to construct Odessa-Brodi oil pipeline in the direction of the European Union will be brought up for the discussions.
The other focus of the discussions will be introduction of opportunities by Ukraine to the other countries to work in its territory in energy sphere. According to Yushenko, providing Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan with opportunities to develop projects of oil refining in Ukraine with the help of current facilities and newly-constructed ones will also be discussed. The use of gas depositories of Ukraine will be subject of discussions as well.
The project to establish Baltic-Caspian-Black Sea energy organization will be one of the issues to be discussed.
According to the Ukrainian President, the high rank officials from 34 countries and representatives of over 100 international energy companies will take part in the summit.
