Establishment of SOCAR Trading SA trading company in Geneva (Switzerland) allowed to expand geography of Azerbaijani oil sale from Japan in the east to western coasts of the USA, Chili and Ecuador, the high-ranking representative of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) said.
"The result of trading company's establishment is to extend geography of sale. It means that we supply Azeri Light oil to the countries having great demand for oil and paying money most of all," the source said.
Establishment of this company and sale of Azerbaijani oil from area of the Mediterranean Sea (from Europe) leads to increasing effectiveness of sale, he said.
SOCAR Trading SA, established in February 2008, deals with marketing of Azerbaijani oil sold on the world markets.
