The International Energy Agency (IEA) raised the forecast on world oil demand by 190,000 barrels per day in 2009 and by 70,000 barrels in 2010.

According to new forecasts, world oil demand will be 83.94 million barrels per day in 2009 and 85.25 million barrels per day in 2010, which is 1.6 percent or 1.3 million barrels per day higher than in 2009.

According to the IEA estimations, world oil supply increased by 570,000 barrels per day in July up to 85.1 million barrels per day, two-thirds of which was delivered by non-OPEC countries.

The IEA raised the forecast of oil supply of non-OPEC countries in 2009 by 160,000 barrels per day up to 51 million barrels per day due to the excess of expectations for the Russian oil in recent months. In 2010, according to the IEA forecasts, oil deliveries by the non-OPEC countries will rise by 440,000 barrels per day up to 51.4 million barrels per day.

The IEA report says that the volume of OPEC oil decreased by 100,000 barrels per day to 28.64 million barrels per day in July, due to low production levels in Nigeria.
