TEHRAN, Iran, Nov 14. Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company's CEO, Reza Noushadi said Iran has opportunity to export oil, gas and power plant equipment, Trend reports via ILNA.
“Iranian researchers are able to domestically build gas turbines,” said Noushadi, adding that the country imported certain types of gas turbines from Western, Eastern Europe in the past, and now the country is able to manufacture its own gas turbines.
He said Iran can become a turbine manufacturing hub in the region.
He noted that Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and other countries in the region require this equipment, but their markets are held by the US and Europe.
“No matter how much cheaper Iran offers a gas turbine, these countries are not allowed to trade with Iran,” he said.
Other than the countries of the region, he stated that Iran could export its domestically made oil and gas equipment to markets such as South American countries.
