ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 1. Azerbaijan purchased 175,730 tons of industrial grade liquid fuel from Turkmenistan for the entire year 2023, Trend reports.
According to the data of the Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee, the cost of importing industrial liquid fuels from Turkmenistan in the specified period amounted to about $72.2 million.
In general, over the past year, Azerbaijan purchased a total of 317,162 tons of industrial liquid fuel from foreign countries for a total amount of more than $132.1 million.
At the same time, Azerbaijan also purchased almost 28,615 tons of gasoil from Turkmenistan last year in the amount of $16.5 million.
Azerbaijan purchased a total of 48,277 tons of gasoil from foreign countries last year for a total amount of more than $29.9 million.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan for the whole of 2023 reached $773.9 million, which is 44.5 percent more than in the same period of 2022 ($535.39 million).
