BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry has released data on electricity production by companies and joint stock companies.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Energy Ministry indicate that out of the total volume of 19.235 billion kWh produced in the country, the main part - almost 16.464 billion kWh was generated at thermal power plants.
"Electricity production by Azerenerji OJSC amounted to 16.975 billion kWh, of which almost 15 billion kWh were produced at the thermal power plants on the balance sheet of the OJSC. The facilities on the balance of the state energy service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic generated 334.5 million kWh, including 43.1 million kWh at the solar station,” the information noted.
To note, the country produced 2.966 bln kWh of electricity in August 2024, of which 338 mln kWh was exported.
