High-Tech Park of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has received an order for production of drones from one of the state institutions of the country, a source in the High-Tech Park told Trend Dec. 22.
“Production of devices for the customer will start by the end of January 2018,” the source said.
Presently, five types of drones are produced on the basis of the High-Tech Park. The drones can be used for photo and video surveillance of the terrain, for its spectral analysis in agriculture sphere, for irrigation of territories, 3D mapping of the terrain, delivery of useful cargoes (research equipment), observation of animals, etc. In the future, the High-Tech Park plans to manufacture multi-functional drones.
It was earlier reported that the drones will be also used by structural subdivisions of ANAS for scientific research. Training sessions for the management of multicopters were organized for employees of several structures of ANAS.
