BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. In January 2025, the Azercosmos space agency of Azerbaijan raked in $1.5 million by exporting satellite telecommunication services to a whopping 36 countries around the globe.
Data obtained by Trend from the "Export Review" for February released by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAREC) shows that Azercosmos' income from service export made up 69 percent of its total income.
In the mentioned period, satellite telecommunication services were exported to about 88 companies from 36 countries.
Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Türkiye, Russia, Tanzania, and the Republic of South Africa represent a significant proportion of the nations engaged in the exportation of the service.
The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program
constitutes a collaborative framework involving 11 sovereign
entities and various development stakeholders, synergistically
engaging to enhance developmental trajectories through strategic
cooperation, thereby catalyzing economic expansion and alleviating
poverty metrics.
