BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. A total of 36,444 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan in October 2024, which is five percent higher than in the same period of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, 34,851 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan in the same period last year.
However, 357,615 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan from January through October this year, which is 16 percent higher than the figure for the same period of 2023 (308,942 people).
Meanwhile, 2,209,750 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in the reporting period of the current year, which is 28 percent more than the figure for the same period of 2023 (1,724,218).
As many as 2,086,548 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in 2023, which is more than 30.2 percent higher than the figure for 2022 (1,602,600), including 378,204 from Türkiye, which is 21.27 percent higher than the figure for 2022 (311,880).
To note, a total of 1,957,285 people visited Azerbaijan from Türkiye during 2017-2023 (2017 - 301,553, 2018 - 291,259, 2019 - 316,404, 2020 - 160,513, 2021 - 197,472, 2022 - 311,880, 2023 - 378,204).
