ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 12. A delegation of agricultural machinery manufacturers led by Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan Ilyas Ospanov visited the HORSCH (leading global manufacturer of innovative agricultural technology and modern solutions for soil cultivation, seeding, and plant protection) plant in Schwandorf, Germany, for the production of trailed and mounted equipment, Trend reports.
During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the production process of assembling agricultural machinery and the further development strategy of HORSCH.
The vice minister proposed organizing joint production of parts for agricultural machinery and localizing them in Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan, at a meeting with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, proposed to the German side the creation of a consortium for the implementation of joint raw material projects with the support of a bilateral working group on project financing involving private German investors.
Tokayev noted Kazakhstan's readiness to provide all necessary conditions for a broader presence of German businesses in the Kazakh market.
The priority areas identified by both sides include the fields of oil and gas chemistry, rare earth metallurgy, green energy, transportation and logistics, and agriculture.
Today, Germany is one of the largest trading partners and leading investors in Kazakhstan's economy. Kazakhstan accounts for approximately 83 percent of all of Germany's trade with the Central Asian region. Bilateral trade turnover increased by 25 percent in 2022, reaching $2.8 billion.
