ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 24. Russia's Bashkortostan exported some 67,000 tons of grain and oilseeds to Kazakhstan in 2023, said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Faizrakhmanov, Trend reports.

He made the remark during a speech at the international forum "Kazakhstan-Bashkortostan", which took place in Astana.

Faizrakhmanov noted that this volume accounts for 57 percent of the total export of grain and oilseeds of the republic.

According to him, Bashkortostan's enterprises today sell products to 40 countries around the world.

"Traditionally, Kazakhstan is our closest neighbor, with which the foreign trade turnover is about 200,000 tons of agricultural products. The share of exports to Kazakhstan is 12 percent," he noted.

Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to $23.5 billion from January through November 2023, which is almost 3.2 percent less than in the same period last year ($24.3 billion).
