BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 18. A total of 5,120 tons of agricultural products were exported from the regions of Kyrgyzstan from August 4 through August 10, which is a decrease of 48 percent compared to the preceding week (from July 28 through August 4), when 9,872 tons were exported, Trend reports.
According to the country’s Ministry of Agriculture, from the Chui region, 3,995 tons of agricultural products was exported. The largest amount, including 874 tons of fruits, were exported from the Chui region to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.
A total of 583 tons of agricultural products were exported from the Talas region. Of this, 416 tons of legumes were exported to Uzbekistan, Russia, and Pakistan.
The Issyk-Kul region exported 249 tons of agricultural products, with the focus being on 130 tons of garlic to Russia and Kazakhstan.
From the Jalal-Abad region, 223 tons of agricultural products were exported. Of them, 65 tons of cotton fiber were exported to Iran, and 130 tons of capers were sent to Türkiye.
The Batken region exported 70 tons of agricultural products. During the period under review, 27 tons of garlic, 24 tons of sawdust, and 19 tons of almonds were exported to Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imported 14,970 tons of agricultural production from August 4 through August 10.
