ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 14. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany amounted to more than 132 million euros from January through July 2023, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures indicate an increase of 1.5 percent, compared to the turnover in the first seven months of the previous year, which amounted to 129.96 million euros.
Turkmenistan's exports to Germany from January through July 2023 amounted to almost 4.53 million euros, showing a significant decrease of 6.3 times compared to the same months of 2022, when it amounted to 28.77 million euros.
At the same time, Turkmenistan increased its imports from Germany by 25.9 percent in the first seven months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 (101.19 million euros), resulting in imports of 127.47 million euros.
It is noteworthy that the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany for the entire 2022 amounted to 241.3 million euros, which is a significant increase of 32 percent compared to the trade turnover in 2021, which amounted to 182.74 million euros.
