TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 10. Foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus reached $383.9 million in the period from January through July 2024.
According to Trend in reference to the Uzbek Statistics Agency, it is 10.8 percent more than the same period of 2023, when the trade turnover amounted to $346.3 million.
Thus, Belarus has joined the top 20 largest trade partners of Uzbekistan.
Exports of goods from Uzbekistan to Belarus totaled $88.4 million, which is 11.1 percent more than last year ($79.5 million from January through July 2023).
Imports from Belarus reached $295.5 million from January through July 2024. This figure increased by 10.8 percent compared to the same period last year ($266.7 million from January through July 2023).
To note, Uzbekistan's total trade turnover totaled $36.8 billion from January through July 2024. This indicator increased by 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year ($34.9 billion from January through July 2023).
The country's exports reached $14.7 billion from January through July 2024, while imports totaled $22 billion.
