TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 8. The number of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital in Uzbekistan reached 14,562 from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that the lion's share of enterprises in the country were established with the backing of Russian capital, totaling a whopping 3,006. Hot on the heels are companies with Chinese investments, clocking in at 2,982.
The following are companies with capital from Türkiye (1,836), Kazakhstan (1,070), South Korea (670), and the United States (305).
To note, the number of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital in Uzbekistan as of July 2024 amounted to 14,349. The largest number of enterprises in the country were created with the participation of Russian capital (2,972), while the smallest was Moldova (only 27).
