TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 9. Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover volume with France amounted to $743.8 million from January through August 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that this figure has increased by 27.6 percent year-on-year ($582.5 million in January– August 2023).
Subsequently, France made it to the top ten in terms of foreign trade turnover in Uzbekistan.
The volume of exports to France from Uzbekistan amounted to $497.2 million, which shows a 90 percent growth compared to the same period last year ($261.6 million in January– August 2023).
Uzbekistan’s imports from France reached $246.6 million from January through August 2024. This indicator has decreased by 30.1 percent year-on-year ($320.9 million in January– August 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $42.7 billion from January through August 2024. This figure has increased by 6.7 percent year-on-year ($40 billion in January–August 2023).
The country's exports hit the jackpot at $17.3 billion from January through August 2024, while imports broke the bank at $25.3 billion.
