The main directions of cooperation with the North Atlantic alliance were discussed at the meeting of Georgian State Commission for integration into NATO. This was reported after the meeting by Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili.
According to him, the Prime Minister Ivanishvili once more spoke on the main directions of the government's foreign policy. In his words, all the mechanisms of cooperation with NATO will remain.
"In terms of the continuation of NATO-Georgia Commission's work and development of annual national programme, ministers - members of the commission have to be given clear instructions. National Programme of Georgia for 2013 should be submitted in the near future. Important visits to Brussels and from Brussels are planned in short run and we should be ready," Petriashvili said.
According to the state minister, a confidential document, which deals with foreign policy, democracy, rule of law, reform of the defense, education and energy, was distributed to all agencies.
