Four people were killed on Monday in the central Syrian province of Homs by troops and mobs loyal to President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
One person was killed in al-Jandali neighbourhood by gunshots fired by Shabiha, or pro-government paramilitaries, while three were killed in an exchange of fire in al-Bayada area, the group said, DPA reported.
Sounds of gunfire have been going on since the morning in at least three areas across the province.
