Turkey Thursday recognized the newly formed National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces as the "legitimate representative" of the Syrian people, reported dpa.
"Turkey, wholeheartedly welcoming this important achievement, once again reiterates its recognition of the Syrian National Coalition (the group's short name) as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people," Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told a gathering of Muslim nations in Djibouti.
