By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:

Starting from 2019, private educational courses in Turkey will be closed down, Trend reports referring to the statement of Turkish Ministry of National Education.

Report of the ministry points out that schoolchildren who are intended to take additional courses, will be able to take advantage of state courses that will operate under the Ministry of Education.

It should be noted that in January 2014, the then prime minister and the current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, made a statement about the closure of private preparatory courses.

After that, the draft law had been submitted to the country's parliament on February 7, 2014. On March 1, 2014, the Turkish parliament approved it.

But on July 14, 2015, the Constitutional Court of Turkey revoked the law on the closure of private preparatory courses.
