BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. Former US President Donald Trump called on his compatriots to prevent a split and show strength and determination after the assassination attempt at a rally, Trump wrote on his X page, Trend reports.
"In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our true character as americans, remaining strong and determined, and not allowing evil to win," he noted.
Trump added that residents of the country are praying for the recovery of those injured during the attack and that the attack did not frighten the ex-president and his supporters.
He also said he will speak at the Republican National Convention next week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
