Georgia, Tbilisi, Aug. 26 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
The next round of the negotiations between Georgia and the European Union (EU) over simplifying its visa and readmission program took place in Brussels on Aug. 24-25.
The sides agreed on a text for the agreement simplifying the visa and readmission program by positive work, the Foreign Ministry said.
The agreement includes Georgian priority issues, the same source added.
According to the European Commission, the text agreed by the parties for the signing of the agreement requires the consent of all EU countries and then must pass through all procedures stipulated by EU legislation. Thus, with the consent of the member countries, the parties will take up all necessary procedures for signing the agreements.
The signing is scheduled to be before the end of 2009.
