BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. Global liquid fuels production will rise by more than 1.6 mb/d in 2025, says the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), Trend reports.
Global liquid fuels production continues to shift away from OPEC+ countries, with nations outside the group leading the charge, the agency noted.
According to the EIA, global liquid fuels production increased by 0.6 mb/d in 2024, largely driven by growth in the United States, Canada, and Guyana. This increase was offset somewhat by a 1.3 mb/d reduction from OPEC+ participants, highlighting the shifting dynamics in global oil markets.
Looking ahead, the EIA projects that global liquid fuels production will rise by more than 1.6 mb/d in 2025.
Nearly 90% of this growth is expected to come from countries outside of OPEC+, continuing the trend of non-OPEC+ nations leading production increases.
