ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 4. Kazakhstan has revealed the volume of oil production across various fields such as Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak, Trend reports.

For the first 11 months of 2024, the total oil and condensate production in Kazakhstan amounted to 80.5 million tons, which is 98 percent of the level for the same period last year (82.2 million tons) by major oil and gas companies, including Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, the Tengiz field produced 25.9 million tons of oil during this period, which is 97.9 percent of the volume for the same period in 2023 (26.5 million tons). The oil production at Kashagan amounted to 15.8 million tons, or 92.8 percent of last year's figures (17.1 million tons). The Karachaganak project produced 11.1 million tons, or 100.9 percent compared to the same period in 2023 (11 million tons).

Additionally, the forecast for Kazakhstan's total oil production for the year 2024 has been announced. The total oil production for 2024 is expected to reach 87.8 million tons, reflecting a decline. This reduction is attributed to several factors, including unscheduled shutdowns at the Karachaganak field, restrictions on gas intake at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, scheduled preventive maintenance, and repair works at the second-generation plant of the Tengiz.
