BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Residents of industrial parks in Azerbaijan's liberated territories have been issued 142 certificates for imported machinery, technological equipment, and feedstock as of May 1 of this year, Trend reports via the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy.
According to these papers, around eight million manat (a cool $4.7 million) in tax and duty breaks were handed out to the businesses.
"In the existing Aghdam and "Araz Valley Economic Zone" industrial parks in the liberated territories, 45 business entities with an investment capital of about 400 million manat ($235 million) were granted residency status, and eight entrepreneurs were granted non-resident status. It's planned to create more than 4,000 permanent jobs by these 53 business entities.
"More than 136 million manat ($80 million) has already been invested in the work done in these industrial parks, and more than 700 permanent jobs have been created," the agency added.
