BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. Iran is set to invest 130 million euros into the construction of the Chahar-Bisheh petrochemical plant in the southwestern Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, said the province's governor, Yadollah Rahmani, Trend reports.
Speaking today at an event marking the commencement of the petrochemical plant’s construction, Rahmani noted that the investment for the project will include $82 million and 55.9 million euros.
He further highlighted that around 600 people will be employed during the plant’s construction, and approximately 300 people will work there once it is operational.
The governor also noted that the new plant is expected to produce several million tons of petrochemical products annually, which will be exported.
To note, 64 investment projects are scheduled for Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2025, through March 20, 2026), with a total investment amounting to 230 trillion rials (about $412 million).
