The founders of the Azerbaijani Milli Kart Processing Center have approved their budget, and tactical and business plans for 2011, Milli Kart Executive Director Jalal Orujev said on Tuesday.
"According to the new business plan, the center plans to increase the number of issued cards to 250,000 units from the current 162,000 units in 2011," Orujev said.
He said the business plan also includes measures to stimulate the growth of non-cash payments in the country. At present, Milli Kart issues cards to 12 Azerbaijani banks.
The meeting did not discuss the appointment of a new head of the Board of Directors, which usually takes place every year.
"The rotation will be held within the next general meeting, the date of which has not yet been agreed upon," Orujev said.
