Turkmen company Taze Ay exported to China more than 110 tons of ice cream, Trend reports referring to Business-Turkmenistan agency.
Product containers were shipped to China's Ningbo port city, located in the North-East of Zhejiang province. Residents of this city with five million people appreciated taste and quality of the ice cream from Turkmenistan, the report says.
According to agreements, from January such deliveries will be carried out on a regular basis.
Taze Ay was founded in 2004 and it is one of the most popular manufacturers of dairy and confectionery products, meat delicacies and ice cream in Turkmenistan. The brand’s product line is in great demand and is sold in specialized stores of the company, operating in all regions of the country.
In 2015, State programs on increasing exports and creating import substituting industries were adopted in Turkmenistan. Within the framework of the program on increasing exports, it is planned to implement 33 projects. It is about the creation of new industries oriented on developments in the chemical industry, light industry, mechanical engineering, agriculture and the food industry, and domestic pharmaceuticals.
Within the framework of program on manufacturing import-substituting products, 81 projects are foreseen. As expected, enterprises will be built to supply construction, chemical, household and other products based on local raw materials. In addition, it is planned to create enterprises for the processing and production of various types of meat and dairy products, fruits and vegetables and fish products.
The program was accepted with the purpose of forming import-substituting industries, strengthening the positive balance of foreign trade, creating new jobs and growing the share of the private sector of the economy.
