Iran's SAIPA Group manufactured 271,532 cars in the first nine months (from March 21 to Dec. 21, 2019) of the current Iranian year (began on Dec. 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to a report of the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran.
According to the report, 37,193 cars were manufactured in the ninth month only (from Nov. 22 to Dec. 21, 2019) including 40 Cerato cars.
According to the report, in the nine-month period, SAIPA produced 138,400 Pride, 120,932 Tiba, 3,670 Cerato and 423 Ario cars.
The company also manufactured 4,887 Changan CS35 and 3,120 semi knocked down cars.
The SAIPA group is the country’s second largest car maker headquartered in Tehran. It has been operating since in 1965. The company’s main subsidiaries are Saipa Diesel, Pars Khodro and Zamyad Co.
