TEHRAN, Iran, October 10. The recent developments in Russian relations with European countries have opened a new chapter in relations between Iran and Russia, Mohammadreza Pourebrahimi, the chairman of the economic committee of Iran's parliament said, Trend reports citing Tasnim.
The Chairman of the Economic Commission of the Parliament pointed to a number of recent achievements between the two countries, including joint cooperation between the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Central Bank of Russia and the new mutual trade agreements.
“Iran's exports to Russia have increased by 70 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (started on March 21),” Pourebrahimi said.
According to the agreement between the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia, the two countries will use currencies other than the dollar and the euro in their bilateral trades.
Iranian MP said that Caspian Sea Forum (CSF) has opened a new chapter in Iran-Russia bilateral cooperation.
