BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. The total liabilities of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR) increased by 5.77 percent in 2021 compared to 2020, Trend reports citing the bank's financial report.
According to bank’s report, total liabilities increased by 1.3 billion manat ($764.7 million) - up to 25.2 billion manat ($14.8 billion).
The largest share (48.7 percent) in the structure of liabilities was related to cash in circulation, which increased by 3.9 percent over the year and amounted to 12.3 billion manat ($7.2 billion).
Liabilities to government agencies accounted for 15.8 percent, or 4 billion manat ($2.3 billion).
CBAR's liabilities to credit organizations increased 2.3 times over the year - up to 7.4 billion manat ($4.3 billion).
Liabilities on transactions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reached 1.2 billion manat ($705.8 million, an increase of 3.3 times over the year).
Other liabilities of CBAR amounted to 1.01 million manat ($597,600).
Total capital of CBAR amounted to 1.17 billion manat ($688.2 million) in 2021, and capital reserves - 526.9 million manat ($309.9 million), unchanged year-on-year.
