An auction for Kazakhstan's Petropavlovsk airport will be held, Trend reports via the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
According to the auction rules, the airport will be transferred to trust management with the subsequent right of redemption, and the trust management will be valid for three years.
The auction winner will be required to preserve operational purpose of the airport for 10 years from the date of conclusion of the trust management agreement, maintain the certificate of the airport's airworthiness and ensure certification requirements for flight safety.
Besides, the winner will be obliged to ensure compliance with fire and technical safety, as well as security requirements, install firefighting equipment in the airport territory, comply with the requirements for the anti-terrorist protection system of facilities vulnerable to terrorist attacks in accordance with the current legislation.
The auction rules envisage investments in the amount of 1.5 billion tenge ($2.9 million) for 10 years with the provision of an audit report at the beginning of each subsequent year.
The airport property has been estimated at 5.6 billion tenge ($11 million). The auction for the airport will take place on March 31, and it will be allowed to sell the property to a single participant of the auction.
