BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 6. The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is set to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge digital training center in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.

The center is part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed during Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov's visit to South Korea between Kyrgyz Minister of Digital Development Nuria Kutnaeva and KOICA President Chang Won Sam.

The center will be strategically crafted to empower government employees and citizens with vital digital competencies. It will showcase cutting-edge technology and innovative software solutions with dynamic training programs designed to align with the evolving needs of the workforce and next-generation advancements.

The ballpark figure for the project is pegged at a cool $7 million.

In April 1991, the South Korean government established KOICA under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) as a unified grant provider. KOICA's mission is to combat global poverty and promote sustainable development in developing countries, while also strengthening Korea's friendly relations with them. Currently, KOICA operates 47 offices worldwide.
