DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, May 6. The total assets of credit financial institutions in Tajikistan reached 38.506 billion somoni ($3.532 billion), as of March 31, 2024, Trend reports.
The National Bank of Tajikistan reported a 22.5 percent rise, or
7.061 billlion somoni ($647.760 million), from same period of
2023.
According to the bank, the credit portfolio balance, cash reserves,
and National Bank of Tajikistan funds receivable drove this
expansion.
As of March 31, 2024, Tajikistan is home to a total of 63 credit
financial institutions, of which 25 microcredit funds, 19
microcredit deposit organizations, and 3 microcredit organizations
are in addition to 1 Islamic bank and 1 non-bank credit
institution.
In comparison to the corresponding period in 2023, the quantity of
structural units comprising credit financial institutions expanded
by 31 units, reaching a grand total of 1,901 units.
