TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 3. Uzbekistan has revealed new details about the Bukhara Industrial Development Complex, a large-scale special industrial park being developed in the Kogon district, Trend reports.
Spanning 1,000 ha, the complex is designed to attract direct investments, establish high-tech industrial facilities, and boost the production of competitive goods for both domestic and international markets.
The first phase of the project includes a $300 million investment, expected to generate $250 million in added value to the regional economy annually. It will also create 2,000 jobs, contribute 250 billion soums ($19.4 million) in tax revenue, and support $100 million in exports.
To enhance infrastructure, over 3 kilometers of roads are being constructed to connect the industrial park to the Bukhara-Karshi highway. The complex is set to play a crucial role in driving industrial innovation and expanding economic opportunities in the region.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan plans to build a gas chemical complex with Russia's assistance in the Bukhara region.
This was announced at a meeting between deputy prime ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia Jamshid Khodjaev and Denis Manturov. During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of large joint infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan
