BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. The export of non-oil products through the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan province located in southeastern Iran amounted to 3.4 million tons worth $1.36 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024), customs inspector of Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan province Mohammad Ali Khashi said, Trend reports.
According to him, exports of non-oil products through the customs of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province increased by 2 percent during eight months compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
The official did not specify whether non-oil exports increased or decreased in value terms.
Khashi stated that mainly cement, coal, fruits, peas, tomatoes, dates, and other agricultural products were exported through the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
He noted that the products were mainly exported to Pakistan, China, Kuwait, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.
Khashi pointed out that 913,000 tons of products worth $1.36 billion were imported to the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan during eight months. The import of products increased by 28 percent in value compared to the same period last year.
“Rice, wheat, forage corn, sesame, red meat, mangoes, mangoes, fabrics, car and truck tires, bananas, etc. were imported to the province. The products were mainly imported from Pakistan, India, Russia, the UAE, China, Brazil, and Afghanistan,” he said.
Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to about 104 million tons worth about $38.2 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024). Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 18 percent in value and 14.6 percent in weight compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products amounted to 24.5 million tons worth $45.1 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024). In 8 months, Iran's non-oil product imports increased by 6.9 percent in value and decreased by 1.73 percent in weight compared to last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
