Iran's private sector to be more active in trade with Qatar following the opening of Iranian commercial center in Doha, said the head of Iran-Qatar Joint Chamber of Commerce Adnan Musapour, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The recent visit of representatives of Iran-Qatar Joint Chamber of Commerce to Doha has raised the opportunity for the private sector to trade with Qatar," he added.
"Iran has targeted to develop its commercial ties with Qatar in tourism to $1 billion, development of tourism will also boost the handicraft sector in Iran. Iranian President and Qatar officials had negotiations to increase trade," Musapour noted.
The two sides have held negotiations in accelerating financial transactions and launching regular shipping lines to develop trade. Iranian officials are pursuing to resume banking relations with Qatar.
