BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. The revenues of Mazandaran Province, located in northern Iran, increased by 44.1 percent during the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023), Director General of Economy and Finance Department of Iran's Mazandaran Province Esmail Hashemi told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, the profit of Iran's Mazandaran Province amounted to about 62.5 trillion rials (about $139 million) during the six months.
Hashemi added that about 55.4 trillion rials (about $123 million) of registered income during the six months came from tax revenues. This is a 40.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
He also noted that the other income of Mazandaran Province during the mentioned period amounted to 7.12 trillion rials (about $15.8 million). This is 83.7 percent more than the same period last year.
He emphasized that in addition to the revenues in the mentioned value, the value of the province's non-oil exports amounted to $58 million during the six months.
To note, a total of 3,000 manufacturing enterprises are located in Iran's Mazandaran Province. It is reported that they employ more than 2,500 people.
